CHARITY NIGHT in aid of EVELYN COOPER

Failsworth Blues S.C. are proud to support a Charity Night to be held in aid of one of our members granddaughters Evelyn Cooper.

The event will take place on Saturday 26th Aug in The Windmill, Lord Lane, Failsworth 7-30pm till Late.

Live music and top local D.J. Danny Clarke. Plus a raffle & auction.

SCUD MEMORIAL CRICKET MATCH

This years “SCUD MEMORIAL” annual cricket match will take place this Bank Holiday Monday 27th August at Macedonia Cricket Club (behind the willow) beginning at 1pm.

The game is in memory of our good friend Mike “scud” Wallace and is between Failsworth Blues SC and a representative side made up from the Willow Vault.

Anyone who fancies themselves with a bat or ball should contact Tony or Phil for inclusion in this prestige game.

Everyone else is asked to come down and enjoy the beer & banter whilst watching small bits of top cricket.

This is a chance for our supporters club to regain the trophy having lost out last year in a close (controversial) Game.

FAILSWORTH BLUES GOES RACING

We are holding another of our popular race days down at The Willow on Sunday 8th Oct 2017 first race 3pm.

We are looking for race sponsors for each race. £25 per race gets you programme advert plus on screen advert.

We also require horse owners, £5 to name and ride your own horse, in any race. Winning owners will win a prize.

Anyone interested in any of the above should contact any committee member to get the wheels in motion.

It was confirmed during our A.G.M. that we will be holding another of our popular Q&A`s

This time our guest will be the multi talented MR LES “CHAPPY” CHAPMAN.

This event will be held in The Willow Tavern on Wed 30th Aug at 8pm.

Tickets will be available soon from any committee member.

You are advised to book your place early to avoid disappointment.

NEW CHAIRMAN ELECTED

During our recent A.G.M. the position of Chairman was available for election following the untimely passing of our previous Chairman Mr Alan Tapper.

Failsworth Blues O.S.C. are pleased to announce the election of Mr Tony Tapper as our new Chairman.

Tony is Alan`s son and will be looking to follow in his fathers, excellent , footsteps.

All other positions remained unopposed.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2017/2018

It has now been confirmed that this years Failsworth Blues A.G.M. will be held on Weds 19/7/17 @ 8pm in The Willow Tavern.

All members both old & new are welcome to come along and take this opportunity to join or re join one of the longest and most established Official Supporters Clubs.

Plans for all next years events will be announced and all committee positions will be up for election.

COMMITTEE MEETING

A committee meeting was held on Wednesday 7th June in preparation of our up coming A.G.M.

Quite a few points were discussed and aired. These will all be brought up during our A.G.M.

All members, both old & new, will be invited to attend once the venue and date has been confirmed.

Anyone looking to join one of the largest & longest standing supporters club should contact any member or attend the A.G.M. in person. You WILL BE MADE MOST WELCOME.
